I used a shiny, mirror-like material to create the space, which created the shimmering effect of being underwater. As the light shifted, it conveyed a cold, distant perspective of the human world as seen through eyes of Havfruen (the Mermaid). Sea creatures were adorned in vibrant colors, interesting textures, and dynamic lighting, creating a striking contrast to the humans, who wore mundane and boring clothes. This design emphasized the enchanting beauty and mystery of the deep sea while highlighting the dullness of human life. The overall design was inspired by the intricate beauty found in the deep sea, and I aimed to bring this vision to life in a theatrical and imaginative way.
